Phishing Scam via email re "secure account"

Hi all,

There is a Phishing scam going on via email at present in which you are sent an email regarding your RS account, and are provided with a 'secure ticket'.

The victim is sent an email (which pretends to come from Jagex) saying there is an issue with your RS account. You are provided with a 'secure log in and password' to submit a ticket to Jagex with your account details. The phishers tell you to go to the Jagex official site before entering the info - they also point out the dangers of account phishing and give you advice to not follow links in emails, and so on.

Once you log in on the 'secure account' they have given you, and you have sent Jagex a ticket, the phisher simply logs into that same account as well and then can read the message you've sent, and then obtains your details.

If you don't have authenticator, they then have your RS account, and you were tricked into giving them the info they needed.

Please be careful. and it's a good idea to have authenticator, and a separate email used only for RS, with 2-step authentication on it as well.

This is so important - everyone should have this!  And it's important to have a bank pin too.

Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention Rae.

I still get these emails (they go directly to my spam folder now). Big scam!
